Bhardwaj as a company has been traditionally involved in organising various events in the UK as an interest. The most successful was the Asian Music Festival at Henley on Thames from 1997 to 2000. The event came to an end for circumstances beyond our control.
Ashok Bhardwaj, who is a keen golfer himself, is currently involved as a Golf Co-Ordinator on behalf of Freemasons in the promotion of Nkokonjeru Masters Cup.
The event was inaugurated in 2005 with 77 golfers participating, followed by a Reception and Dinner for over 100 people at Batchworth Park Golf Club. The event was a success.
In 2006 The Masters Cup was sold out within days of its announcement. The number of Golfers had to be limited to 91 as the Club could not accommodate any more and the total number including diners were limited to 120.
As you will see from the photographs, the event was a super success. Music, champagne reception and open bar followed by a four-course dinner.
The event was sponsored by Barclays Bank, Shah & Burke – Solicitors, John Cumming Ross – Accountants and Bhardwaj-Insolvency Practitioners.
Nkokonjeru Masters Cup 2007 is planned to be held on the 6th September 2007 on four different courses and everyone will then come together at Venue 5 in Eastcote Middlesex for a grand reception and prize giving. The number of golfers participating is restricted to 240 and another 30 diners for the reception and dinner.
